Job summary

Retail Insights is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that solve business problems in a retail context. You will collaborate with product, data, and business teams to translate requirements into practical AI solutions.

You will perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model training on large datasets; implement bias checks, monitor models in production, and mentor junior AI/ML engineers while staying current with industry best

Qualifications

• 3+ years in AI/ML or advanced analytics roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Python-based ML development
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and data modeling
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data
• Ability to design end-to-end ML solutions from problem definition to deployment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to explain complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
• Prior experience in Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer domain is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models to solve business problems
• Translate requirements with business, product, and data teams
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model training on large datasets
• Build and optimize models for customer personalization, demand forecasting, recommendations, churn prediction, and pricing
• Evaluate model performance and improve accuracy
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable data pipelines for model training and inference
• Support model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management in production environments
• Implement explainability, validation, and bias checks for models
• Document model assumptions, methodologies, and outcomes
• Support UAT, business validation, and post-deployment optimization
• Act as SME for AI/ML best practices and guidelines
• Mentor junior AI/ML engineers and contribute to AI standards and guidelines
• Stay updated with advancements in AI/ML technologies and apply them where relevant
