Job summary

Axium Global Pvt Ltd is seeking an AI Lead to own the AI roadmap, guiding experimentation and deployment across NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems and generative AI. You will mentor a small team and drive responsible AI practices while aligning AI initiatives with business goals.

The role covers evaluating tools, building LLM-powered applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy AI models in production. Strong Python skills and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Python (must-have) knowledge of R is a plus.
• Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn and OpenCV.
• Experience with NLP frameworks like NLTK, spaCy and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Familiarity with web frameworks for serving models (e.g. FastAPI, Flask).
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP or Azure ML.
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• ML lifecycle management tools like MLflow, DVC or similar.
• Strong background in data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy) and visualization (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data engineering workflows.
• Familiar with Power BI or Tableau for visual insights (optional).

Responsibilities

• Define the AI strategy and lead end-to-end execution of AI initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI across business processes, products, and services.
• Guide and mentor a team of 1 Data Scientist, 1 ML Engineer and 1 Intern.
• Develop Generative AI solutions using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines and AI-powered applications.
• Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex, vector databases and LLM APIs is preferred.
• Conduct research and experimentation across NLP, Computer Vision, Predictive Analytics, Generative AI and Recommendation Systems.
• Evaluate AI tools, frameworks, libraries, and cloud services for development and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production systems.
• Lead the development of Conversational AI solutions, including chatbots, voice interfaces and intelligent automation.
• Identify and implement AI solutions for AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) use cases.
• Ensure responsible AI practices, focusing on fairness, transparency, security and data privacy.
• Oversee model deployment, monitoring, maintenance and optimization for performance and reliability

As the AI Lead, candidate will be responsible for owning the AI roadmap from suggesting relevant tools and frameworks to leading experimentation and implementation across areas such as NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems and generative AI.
