Job summary

merito in Chennai is seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineer with ~2 years of experience to build AI-powered automation across engineering, compliance and banking operations. The role focuses on turning repetitive workflows into agent-driven systems shipped to production.

You will identify manual workflows, build cross-platform agents (GitHub, Vanta, dashboards, ticketing and monitoring), and ship end-to-end solutions from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python or Go.
• Experience with LLM APIs, prompts, and RAG concepts.
• Hands-on MCP (Model Context Protocol) experience.
• Familiarity with at least one AI agent framework (OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude Code).
• Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Identify manual, repetitive workflows across back-office operations, DevOps, and compliance, and automate them using LLMs and agents
• Build agents that operate across platforms such as GitHub, Vanta, monitoring/alerting systems, ticketing tools, and dashboards
• Ship solutions end-to-end - from prototype to production
• Improve accuracy and reliability through prompt iteration, evaluation, and guardrails
• Monitor, debug, and support deployed automations

Mandatory Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python (or golang)
• Working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG concepts
• Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) - building and integrating MCP servers/clients
• Familiarity with at least one AI coding/agent framework (e.g., OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude Code, or similar)
• Experience with REST APIs and system integrations
