Job summary

CornerstoneOnDemand is hiring an AI Engineer to lead design and development of AI-powered solutions on Microsoft Azure AI services, Copilot, and Gen AI technologies. The role focuses on building intelligent automation, AI models, and custom Gen AI apps to enhance business processes across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in AI/ML architecture, development, and deployment, proficient in Python and/or C#, and strong knowledge of

• 3 years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years focused on AI/ML architecture, development, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise AI solution development using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, and Azure Cognitive Services.
• Design and implement Copilot solutions including Copilot for Microsoft 365 and plugins.
• Build Gen AI applications with prompt engineering, RAG patterns, fine-tuning, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Develop intelligent workflows using Azure Agentic AI and Semantic Kernel to automate business processes.
• Integrate AI capabilities with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, and enterprise apps.

Inthis role, you will…

• Lead the development of enterprise AI solutions usingAzure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure CognitiveServices.
• Design and implement Microsoft Copilot solutions,including Copilot for Microsoft 365, custom copilots using Copilot Studio,and plugin development.
• Build advanced Gen AI applications using promptengineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns, fine-tuning,and multi-agent systems.
• Develop intelligent workflows using Azure Agentic AIand Semantic Kernel to automate complex business processes.
• Integrate AI capabilities with Microsoft 365,SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, and third-party enterpriseapplications.
• Implement Azure AI Document Intelligence solutions forautomated document processing and data extraction.
• Build and optimize vector databases and semantic searchusing Azure AI Search for knowledge management systems.
• Establish MLOps practices using Azure Machine Learningand Azure DevOps for automated model deployment and monitoring.
• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices forAI model deployment and integration.
• Create data pipelines to support AI model training andreal-time inference.
• Define AI solution standards, best practices, andgovernance frameworks including security and compliance.
• Mentor AI engineers and developers, providing technicalguidance and code reviews.
  Lead proof-of-concept projects to evaluate new AItechnologies and their business value.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, andstakeholders to define AI roadmaps and technical strategies.
• Stay current with AI technologies and Azure AI serviceupdates to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science,Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, DataScience, or relevant experience.
• 3 years of comprehensive software engineeringexperience with at least 2+ years focused on AI/ML architecture,development, and deployment.

TechnicalExpertise:

• Proven track record in architecting and implementingenterprise-scale AI solutions using Microsoft Azure AI services andGenerative AI technologies.
• Expert-level experience with Azure OpenAI Service,Azure AI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure
  Cognitive Services in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Gen AI application development,including advanced prompt engineering, RAG architectures, fine-tuningstrategies, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilotecosystem, including enterprise Copilot deployment, custom copilotdevelopment, plugin architecture, and extensibility frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or C# with deepknowledge of AI/ML frameworks.
• Expert-level understanding of LLM architectures,embeddings, and vector search technologies.
• Expertise in designing and implementing scalable APIarchitectures, microservices patterns, and event-driven systems for AIsolutions.
• Deep understanding of Azure AI Search, vector databases(Cosmos DB, Pinecone, Weaviate), and hybrid search optimization techniques
