Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a Lead AI Engineer in Hyderabad to architect, develop, and scale enterprise AI infrastructure. You will lead design for retrieval-augmented generation, LLM gateways, and intelligent agentic workflows within our AWS cloud ecosystem.

You will drive technical leadership, set standards for robust data pipelines, mentor teams, and ensure scalable, well-structured systems across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of software engineering experience in enterprise AI systems.
• Strong background in Java/Spring and Python for AI/ML integrations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee architecture and design of content ingestion and enrichment pipelines.
• Design and deploy RAG frameworks and centralized LLM gateways.
• Build multi-agent workflows and orchestrate AI integrations.
• Implement ModelContext Protocol to standardize interactions.
• Engineer reliable LLM generation pipelines with strict JSON outputs.

About theRole:

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineerto architect, develop, and scale our enterprise AI infrastructure and contentprocessing pipelines. You will lead the technical design of AI systems,focusing on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, LLM gateways, andintelligent agentic workflows. As a technical leader, you will ensure our AIdata pipelines are robust, highly structured, and seamlessly integrated intoour AWS cloud ecosystem.

In this role you will...

• AIArchitecture & Strategy: Lead the architectural oversight andtechnical direction for content ingestion and enrichment pipelines,ensuring scalable and efficient AI integrations.


• RAG& LLM Integration: Design, deploy, and optimize advancedRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks and centralized LLMgateways.


• AgenticWorkflows: Build and orchestrate multi-agentplatforms and workflows using modern AI integration frameworks.


• ProtocolImplementation: Drive the implementation of ModelContext Protocol (MCP) to standardize and streamline interactions betweenfoundation models and enterprise backend systems.


• DataPipeline Engineering: Architect highly reliable LLM generationpipelines, enforcing strict structured JSON outputs to guarantee schemavalidation and application parsing stability.


• TechnicalLeadership & System Design: Mentor engineering teams, applybest-in-class software design patterns, and guide infrastructuredeployment planning across cloud environments.

You'vegot what it takes if you have…

• Experience: 5-8years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven trackrecord of designing and deploying enterprise-grade systems and AIplatforms.


• Programming& Frameworks (Mandatory): Deep, hands-on expertise in Java and the Spring / Spring Boot framework.


• Good working knowledge of Python is also required for AI/ML integrations and scripting.


• DatabaseExpertise (Mandatory): Strong knowledge of both relationaldatabases (RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL) and NoSQL databases,specifically MongoDB.


• DesignPatterns (Mandatory): Extensive knowledge of object-orienteddesign, architectural design patterns, and enterprise integration patternsfor building scalable, decoupled systems.


• CloudInfrastructure (Mandatory): Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including the deployment, scaling, and management ofcontainerized applications and data pipelines.


• AI/MLExpertise: Practical experience building scalableRAG applications, vector search optimizations, and LLM orchestrationlayers.


• DataEngineering: Proven ability to build resilient dataingestion workflows with a strong emphasis on JSON-based structured datavalidation over legacy text formats.

Good to have skills...

• Familiaritywith enterprise AI toolkits (such as Google ADK).


• Experiencemanaging regional infrastructure rollouts and navigating modelavailability constraints across different deployment stages.
