Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking an AI Engineer in Bengaluru to help harness data as an asset and deliver analytics solutions. You will build and deploy models with Deep Learning techniques while ensuring compliance with HSBC standards.

The role demands hands-on data science experience, and familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph is a plus. Work involves BI/analytics delivery across geographies, applying data-driven insights to business problems, and ongoing model monitoring in a fast-paced banking

Qualifications

• Educational background in one of the specified degrees (4-year or 3+2).
• Minimum 3+ years of Python and SQL experience.
• Hands-on data analysis, model building from scratch, and data science knowledge.
• Experience in ML/Gen AI model development, deployment, and monitoring preferred.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AI Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Responsible for recognising data as an asset to HSBC by managing Data Risk and ensuring the operations are compliant with our Data standards and policies.


• Data and Analytics Professionals are geographically dispersed and aligned to the Global Businesses / Global Functions or Regions. Operations involve aggregations, deliver BI and reporting solutions by using tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI and Looker.


• The role-holder will provide specialist expertise in techniques for model delivery (e.g. Deep Learning) and /or their applications (e.g. Customer Propensity, Computer Vision, NLP). This includes understanding the factors (both internal and external) that drive the required model outcomes, and applying relevant techniques to design, develop, test, implement and monitor models.


• They will certify compliance with HSBC’s Model Development Standards, remain abreast of latest developments in Modelling tools and techniques and advise leadership on maintaining market leading capabilities. The main aim is to provide a model which broadly satisfies the purpose and broadly functions in the given use cases.

To be successful you will:

• Educational background of at least one of the following degrees (4 year degrees or 3+2)– B.Tech or MBA or MCA


• Minimum of 3+ years of experience is mandatory in Python and SQL.


• Knowledge of Data science, Must be hands on with data analysis, experience of Model building from scratch, work as data scientist is required


• Working experience in Machine Learning/Gen AI model development, deployment, monitoring is preferred


• Working knowledge of LangChain and LangGraph framework.


• Understanding of IT system for a model development, deployment is preferred.


• Experience in new rule development/Optimization of model is preferred.


• Business contextual understanding of the work is mandatory.
