Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking an AI Security Analyst to dive into vulnerabilities, edge cases, and adversarial risks at the intersection of AI and security. You’ll analyze how models respond to adversarial inputs, data leakage risks, and misuse scenarios, and recommend mitigations.

This is a remote hourly contract with flexible, task-based work and potential for ongoing engagements. You’ll collaborate with a team on frontier AI systems, applying threat modeling principles to emerging technologies

• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

• Analyze AI and LLM security scenarios to understand how models behave under adversarial, unexpected, or edge-case conditions
• Investigate prompt injection attacks, data leakage risks, model abuse patterns, and system misuse cases
• Classify security issues by real-world impact and likelihood, and recommend appropriate mitigations
• Evaluate AI system behavior against security best practices and flag areas for improvement
• Work with realistic scenarios drawn from the frontlines of AI deployment
• Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Experienced in security — whether offensive, defensive, application, or infrastructure
• Genuinely curious about how AI systems are built, deployed, and exploited
• Familiar with threat modeling principles and able to apply them to emerging AI technologies
• Analytical and precise — you break down complex systems methodically and communicate your findings clearly
• Comfortable working independently on nuanced, open-ended security problems
• Self-motivated and consistent when working without close supervision

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI tools, or AI APIs
• Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or adversarial research
• Familiarity with prompt injection, jailbreaking, or model misuse techniques
• Experience in application security, API security, or cloud security
• Knowledge of AI safety concepts or alignment research
• Background in cybersecurity certifications (OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or similar)
