Job summary

IndiVillage is hiring an AI Annotation Specialist – Healthcare to support development and evaluation of Healthcare Conversational AI solutions. You will annotate patient interactions across voice, chat, email, SMS and digital channels, building high-quality datasets to improve virtual assistants and contact-centre automation.

The role requires attention to detail, healthcare domain knowledge, and experience with annotation platforms such as Label Studio or Encord.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Information Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in healthcare payer operations, member services, claims processing, or related workflows is desirable.
• Strong analytical, written comprehension and documentation skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Annotate and validate healthcare customer interactions using defined guidelines and taxonomies.
• Classify customer intents and workflows, including multi-intent conversations.
• Identify and label conversation stages, requests, responses, resolutions and escalation reasons.
• Transcribe and validate relevant portions of voice interactions.
• Annotate healthcare entities and key information while preserving context.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, completeness and alignment with customer intent.
• Review conversations with focus on domain accuracy, privacy, and compliance.
• Identify quality issues, document findings and escalate appropriately.

• Annotate and validate healthcare customer interactions using defined annotation guidelines and taxonomies.
• Classifycustomer intents, sub-intents and healthcare workflows, including complex multi-intent conversations.
• Identify and label conversation stages, customer requests, agent responses, resolutions, follow-ups and escalation reasons.
• Transcribe and validate relevant portions of voice interactions.
• Annotate healthcare entities and key information while maintaining the original meaning and context.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses foraccuracy, relevance, completeness, clarity and alignment with customer intent.
• Review conversations with a strong focus ondomain accuracy, customer empathy, privacy and compliance.
• Identify quality issues, document findings and escalat exceptions appropriately.
• Consistently apply annotation and quality standards across large datasets.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience inHealthcare, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Information Management, Business Administrationor a related field.

• High attention to detail and ability to distinguish subtle differences inintent, context and response quality.
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive healthcare information.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, quality trackers and web-based annotation tools.

Good to Have

• Experience indata annotation, QA, conversation analysis or AI model evaluation.
• Knowledge of healthcare payer terminology and workflows.
• Experience withintent classification, entity annotation, sentiment analysis, conversation summarization or response evaluation.
• Familiarity with annotation platforms such asLabel Studio, Encord or similar tools.
• Understanding ofConversational AI, NLP, LLMs or human-feedback-based model improvement.
• Experience supporting multilingual or multicultural customer-service programs.
• Familiarity with relevant healthcareprivacy, security and compliance requirements.
• Clinical experience or certification for assignments requiring clinical interpretation.
