Hunger Inc in Mumbai is seeking an AI Creative Technologist to design and scale AI-powered creative workflows across product imagery, animation and storytelling. You will collaborate with designers, filmmakers and marketers, turning experiments into repeatable systems.
The role emphasizes integrating generative AI with traditional tools, building internal tools, and helping teams become AI-native while maintaining brand consistency and high production quality.
Location: Mumbai, full time, in office
Experience: 2 to 5 years
You will help us answer the question: how do we use technology to make Hunger Inc. more loved, more connected and more scalable? Our brand, content and design teams already experiment with generative AI, from product imagery to short films. You will turn those experiments into workflows the whole team can use, and help our storytellers make more ambitious work, faster. You will work with our designers, filmmakers and marketers, alongside our Product Manager, Software Engineer and the founders.
Today, generating an impressive image or video is relatively easy. Creating consistent, production-ready work across multiple scenes, products, formats and campaigns is considerably harder. We want to develop structured creative workflows that combine generative AI models, traditional creative software, automation and human judgment. That could mean connecting image-generation models, video tools, 3D workflows, compositing software and editing applications into repeatable production systems. You'll experiment with different models, APIs, node-based workflows and automation tools to identify what works best for specific creative challenges. The goal is to move from isolated experiments to reliable creative capabilities that our teams can use repeatedly.
Imagine a kaju katli flying through the air like a miniature racing car. Or a packet of Bhel Bites becoming a giant animated character wandering through a miniature Bombay. These are the kinds of creative experiments we're already exploring. But making them work involves much more than typing a prompt. Character consistency, visual continuity, camera movement, lighting, product accuracy, animation, sound and editing all need to come together.
You'll help develop workflows that combine AI-generated imagery, video, 3D, motion graphics and traditional filmmaking techniques. We're particularly interested in understanding how these tools can make ambitious storytelling more accessible without compromising quality.
Bombay Sweet Shop has a growing catalogue of products sold across our website, cafs, marketplaces, quick commerce and gifting channels. Every product requires imagery in different formats, compositions, environments and campaigns. We want to explore how generative AI and creative automation could help us produce high-quality visual content more efficiently while maintaining consistency and accuracy. This could involve developing reusable workflows for product photography, backgrounds, lighting, compositions, packaging visualisation and format adaptations. The challenge is to build systems that understand and preserve the details that matter: the product, its packaging, its proportions, its identity and the visual language of the brand.
Our creative teams work across design, content, photography, video, marketing and production. Many workflows involve repetitive tasks, multiple software platforms, feedback cycles and manual coordination. You'll identify opportunities to improve these processes through automation, AI-assisted applications and lightweight internal tools. That could include asset generation, versioning, creative prototyping, format adaptation, workflow orchestration or internal knowledge systems. We want someone who can evaluate existing products before building something custom. Sometimes the most valuable innovation is connecting three tools that already exist.
We don't want AI expertise concentrated in one person. You'll work closely with our designers, filmmakers, art directors, photographers and content creators to develop workflows they can understand and use. Document experiments, build reusable systems, share learnings and help teams understand both the capabilities and limitations of emerging technology. Your success will be measured not just by what you create yourself, but by the new creative capabilities you help build across Hunger Inc.
We're interested in people who have explored modern generative AI tools and understand how to combine them with traditional creative production. Relevant technologies include:
We don't expect candidates to know every platform. We do expect them to understand how these technologies work together, where they fail and how to choose the right approach for a particular creative problem.
Approximately 2–5 years of experience in creative technology, digital production, motion design, generative AI, technical art, creative coding or a related discipline. We're open to unconventional backgrounds and self-taught technologists. Your portfolio and technical understanding matter more than your job title.
You've built creative workflows that produce consistently high-quality work and can be used by people beyond yourself. You've helped our teams develop new creative capabilities, reduced repetitive production work and made ambitious ideas easier to explore. You can demonstrate not just the final output, but the system behind it.
