Job summary

AI CERTs® - India seeks a Tech Lead to own the architecture and engineering direction of the LMS platform, leading the team that builds and maintains it. This role blends deep technical ownership with people leadership and client-facing technical communication as the company strengthens its in-house engineering capability.

The candidate will drive scalable design, set engineering standards, and guide integrations with enterprise systems while overseeing Azure infrastructure, security, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture of the product LMS platform (Moodle-based and custom).
• Design and evolve backend services using Node.js, PHP, or Python, and frontend using React.js.
• Define and evolve microservices and REST API architecture.
• Own Azure infrastructure design and management.
• Design and maintain database architecture (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Implement and maintain SSO and authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT).
• Lead integrations with a wide range of third-party and enterprise systems (LTI tools, CRM, payment gateways, analytics platforms, and other partner systems).
• Own CI/CD pipelines and containerization for the platform.
• Drive system design decisions for scalability and reliability.
• Lead code reviews and set engineering standards across the team.
• Own technical documentation and manage vendor handover processes.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client-facing discussions, translating business and partner requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, including performance and career development.
• Own cost and vendor-spend decisions for the platform, evaluating build-vs-buy trade-offs to reduce reliance on paid third-party tools.
