Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a software/AI engineer with strong Python and data science background to build production APIs using FastAPI. You will design and implement AI agent workflows, including end-to-end RAG solutions, and integrate with Azure data/services in a globally distributed team.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rapid learning, and contributing to an AI Center of Excellence by translating business needs into scalable AI use cases.

Qualifications

• Strong python engineering and data science experience.
• 2-3 years of experience building FastAPI-based backend applications.
• At least 1 year of experience in building AI agents and agent workflows.
• End-to-end RAG implementations experience.

Must Haves

Copilot Studio experience, including building agents and understanding integration approaches such as publishing web or integrating via API patterns. Microsoft Agent Framework experience, including agent hosting patterns and integration with backend services.

Day to Day

This resource should have experience working with Azure ecosystem tools and services, including CI/CD workflows and data services. The role involves developing production APIs, orchestrating AI workflows, integrating enterprise data, and operationalizing AI solutions. Candidates should have expertise in at least one AI framework, adapt quickly to new AI methods, and possess strong collaboration and communication skills for agile, global teamwork. This team is currently working on building out their AI Center of Excellence so they will be gathering requirements from the business and developing the use cases.
