Job summary

Exela Publishing House in South India is developing an engaging AI and Computational Thinking curriculum for Grades 3-8, aligned with NCERT, NEP 2020 and NCF guidelines.

We seek a content developer with a Masters or PhD and 3+ years of experience crafting children’s workbook content (ages 7-11). You will design lessons, activities and assessments in a warm, child-first voice, with Hinglish as a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters or Ph.D. in Education, Child Psychology, Cognitive Science, Instructional Design, Data Science or related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience developing content for children's workbooks (Ages 7-11).
• Strong portfolio of original primary grade workbooks (not school textbooks).
• Deep knowledge of AI and Generative AI and unplugged CT.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI and Computational Thinking content for Grades 3-8.
• Design fun lessons, activities, projects and assessments.
• Simplify concepts for school children.
• Ensure content is accurate and aligned with NCERT, NEP 2020, and NCF guidelines.
• Collaborate with editorial team in the development process.
• Write in a simple, warm, child-first language (Hinglish tone a plus).
• Demonstrate strong writing and research skills.

In line with the NCERT and NCF mandates to introduce Artificial Intelligence and Computational Thinking in school education and equip students with future-ready skills, we are developing an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for Grades 3-8. The curriculum will introduce students to AI concepts, computational thinking, ethical use of AI, problem-solving, and real-world applications

Responsibilities

• Develop AI and Computational Thinking content for Grades 3-8.
• Design fun lessons, activities, projects, and assessments.
• Simplify concepts for school children.
• The content should be accurate and consistent with the guidelines of NCERT, NEP 2020, and NCF.
• Collaborate with our editorial team in the development process.
• Masters / Ph.D. in Education, Child Psychology, Cognitive Science, Instructional Design, Data Science, Computer Science Education, or related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience developing content for children's workbooks / activity books (Ages 7-11).

• Experience writing scripts for animated explainers for kids
