Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited in Chennai seeks a technically proficient TL Central Performance & Optimization to lead RAN network quality. You will guide circle teams, analyze E2E KPIs, and drive optimization across 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE to deliver superior voice and data experiences.

This role requires 8+ years in telecom with strong leadership and cross-functional skills. The position involves coordinating with partners for new node rollouts, monitoring capacity, and ensuring safety and high performance.

Qualifications

• B-Tech Electronics and Telecommunications, 8+ years experience.
• Experience in 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE network optimization.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Network performance analysis through OSS and drive tests to improve 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE quality.
• Provide technical guidance to circle zonal teams on RAN network.
• Perform in-depth KPI analysis and propose actions to improve performance.
• Conduct health checks and audit SA alarms and parameters.
• Support new site rollouts with database and SCFT audits and monitoring.
• Coordinate with partners for deployment and testing of new nodes/features.
• Monitor radio network utilization and optimize capacity and spectrum.
• Develop the team and drive a high-performance safety culture.
• Derive insights from customer complaints and implement corrective actions.

Job Purpose

In the highly competitive telecom business, Network Quality is the key differentiator of customer satisfaction. This role will be accountable for quality and performance of circle RAN network and lead a team of SMEs to ensure prompt monitoring and optimization to deliver superior voice & data experience to customers.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Network performance analysis through OSS/drive test/crowd sourced data and optimization to improve network quality (2G/3G/4G/VoLTE) & customer experience
• Provide technical guidance and support to circle zonal team in all aspects of RAN network.
• Perform in-depth analysis of performance E2E KPIs. Propose technology actions to improve performance.
• Network heath check to ensure consistent performance – drive SA alarms/parameter audit.
• Supports new site rollout to achieve monthly target smoothly by driving database audit, SCFT audit & Performance monitoring
• Implementation and acceptance testing of new node/features in co-ordination with partners, Central Quality & SNOC Team.
• Ensure utilization monitoring and timely optimization/deployment of radio network capacity, license capacity, 4G spectrum and Transmission BW upgrade etc
• Ensuring team development and synergy to deliver high performance culture and safety
• Deriving insights from Customer complaints analysis and recommend corrective actions

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• In-depth technical knowledge in radio network parameters & optimization (2G/3G/4G/VoLTE)
• Excellent domain knowledge and hands on experience to use optimization tools
• Very good analytical skills to trouble shoot network quality KPI degradation/ customer complaints
• Strong leadership and people management capability, Strategy handling skills, very good cross functional co-ordination.

Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

• B-Tech Electronics and Telecommunications with 8+ years of experience
