Job description

We are seeking a strategic, tech-savvy, and experienced AGM - Global Procurement to lead our sourcing and purchasing operations. Operating in the GIS Services sector, our group requires a specialized procurement leader who can consolidate our purchasing functions, drive aggressive cost savings, optimize working capital through improved payment terms, and manage high-value technology assets, software licensing, enterprise networking infrastructure, and specialized technical consultancy services, alongside routine operational requirements.

In this pivotal role based out of our India headquarters, you will harmonize procurement strategies, vendor management, and compliance across our flagship entity and wholly-owned global subsidiaries. You will balance global vendor consolidation and enterprise software/hardware agreements with regional agility to support our international delivery centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving Cost Savings & Payment Terms Optimization: Spearhead initiatives to identify, track, and deliver sustainable cost reductions across all direct and indirect categories. Maximize enterprise value through strategic pricing negotiations, group-wide spend consolidation, and negotiating extended, favourable payment terms to enhance working capital and cash flow liquidity.
  • Procurement Function Unification & Centralization: Streamline and consolidate the organizations fragmented purchasing functions into one unified global procurement umbrella. Establish standardized global workflows, approval matrices, centralized vendor master files, and harmonized e-procurement platforms across all entities.
  • Technology & IT Sourcing Leadership: Spearhead the procurement of IT hardware, networking equipment (servers, switches, firewalls), enterprise software licenses (SaaS/Enterprise agreements), cloud infrastructure, and GIS-specific technical assets across the group.
  • Technical Consultancy & Professional Services: Manage the vendor lifecycle for specialized third-party technical consultants, subcontractors, and professional service providers supporting our IT and GIS projects globally.
  • Global Sourcing & Group Synergy: Drive enterprise-wide category management, identifying opportunities for group-wide volume aggregation, cross-border vendor consolidation, and global Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • International Subsidiary Support & Governance: Act as the central procurement anchor for regional leadership teams across North America, Europe, APAC, and the GCC region (including multiple entities in KSA, UAE, and Bahrain), ensuring alignment with local statutory frameworks and tech compliance standards.
  • IT Vendor & Contract Management: Lead high-stakes negotiations for software licensing terms, data privacy/security compliance (GDPR, SOC2, local data residency regulations), SLA enforcement, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Spend Analytics & Process Governance: Maintain complete visibility over global IT expenditures, multi-currency licensing costs, and routine operational spend through advanced analytics and centralized ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Coupa).
  • Cross-Cultural Team Leadership: Direct the central procurement team at HQ and mentor/coordinate regional purchasing leads or administrative coordinators across international subsidiaries.

Key Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. (MBA or professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are a strong plus).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 to 12 years of progressive procurement experience, with a heavy emphasis on IT hardware, software licensing, and tech services sourcing within the ITES, technology, or professional services sector.
    • Demonstrated experience in restructuring, consolidating, or setting up centralized procurement functions across multi-entity corporate structures.
  • Technical & Domain Skills:
    • Deep familiarity with IT infrastructure, enterprise software procurement models (SaaS, enterprise licensing, volume licensing), and technical service contracts.
    • Proficiency in enterprise-level ERP and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Coupa).
    • Strong data analytics capabilities for global spend reporting and foreign exchange (FX) impact tracking.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong expertise in working capital optimization, cash flow management, and negotiating commercial payment structures.
    • Strong understanding of international data privacy laws, cross-border software compliance, and global commercial terms (Incoterms).
    • Exceptional cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strategic agility: ability to think like a multinational enterprise while maintaining the hands‑on execution speed required in a mid‑sized group.
