Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited in India is seeking an M2 level Circle Core Field Ops professional to manage hardware and software maintenance of Core Nodes (Nokia/Ericsson) across the network. The role focuses on uptime, integration tasks and ongoing support for performance KPIs.

You will handle node configurations, backups, and support for MOPs, care cases, and emergency handling, ensuring reliable service delivery for 2G/3G/4G and VOLTE.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with core network nodes (Nokia/Ericsson).
• Strong knowledge of 2G/3G/4G and VOLTE call flows.
• Nokia UDR CLI proficiency and VOLTE node experience.
• Knowledge of PACO and IP domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining 100% uptime of all Core Nodes.
• MSS and MGW hardware and spare management.
• Periodic Core Nodes system and external backup.
• Support/address customer complaints.
• POI, BSC, and RNC integration with Core Nodes.
• Day-to-day configurations in Core Nodes.
• Support in maintaining network performance KPIs.
• New nodes integration and commissioning support.
• Support for MOP integration and related activities.
• Handling care cases and operational emergencies.

Node includes Core nodes like MSS/MGW/GCS/GMGW of Nokia and Ericsson. UDR HLR Set up of Nokia. Nokia VOLTE Set up.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

Technical skill set

• Hands on experience on CS Core nodes of Nokia or Ericsson or both
• Thorough knowledge of Call flow of 2G, 3G, 4G and VOLTE
• Nokia UDR command line hands on
• Nokia VOLTE nodes Hands on experience
• Knowledge of PACO and or IP domain will be added benefit.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• B.E in Electronics and Communication.
• Sound technical skill set/ knowledge of Core network
• Managing team. Willingness to Learn and Go extra miles to deliver
