Job summary

Kalpataru Limited seeks an Assistant General Manager - Architecture with 12+ years of individual contributor experience to lead architectural design at project sites, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure quality across multiple projects.

You will coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors and site engineers, review GFC and shop drawings, monitor construction, and maintain records while ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.

Qualifications

• B.Arch. degree from a recognized institute.
• Extensive experience in site execution and architectural coordination.
• Knowledge of construction detailing, materials, finishes, and services coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and MS Office.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently at a project site with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as architectural lead at the project site and coordinate with the project/construction team.
• Review and monitor execution per approved drawings, specs and design intent.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and site engineers.
• Review GFC drawings, shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and submissions.
• Identify and resolve architectural/design issues arising during construction.
• Raise and coordinate RFIs, design clarifications, drawing revisions, and site instructions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, detailing, finishes and workmanship.
• Coordinate with MEP, structural, faade, landscape, interiors to resolve interfaces.
• Monitor architectural activities against project schedules and milestones.
• Review contractor work and highlight deviations from drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with design team for timely closure of site-related design issues.
• Support material selection, technical evaluations and approvals.
• Maintain records of drawings, revisions, approvals and site observations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, project standards and statutory requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on progress and issues.

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a highly experienced Assistant General Manager - Architecture with a minimum of 12 years of experience in an individual contributor role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture and a proven track record of successfully leading architectural projects. As the AGM - Architecture, you will be responsible for overseeing the architectural design process, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring that all architectural projects meet quality standards.
