Job summary

Virtusa is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager in Chennai, India, to drive end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives within an enterprise environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and partner with Product Owners to align priorities with strategic goals.

The role requires strong expertise in Agile/Scrum, governance, risk management, and delivery metrics.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum project management and technology delivery.
• Understanding of Agile frameworks, SDLC, governance, and delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Strong experience managing risks, dependencies, issues, timelines, budgets, and project metrics.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
• Experience managing multiple projects/workstreams in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Understanding of application development, cloud, data, or digital transformation initiatives.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects using Agile/Scrum.
• Manage cross-functional teams across engineering, architecture, QA, product, business, and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to manage priorities, backlog, roadmap, and delivery commitments.
• Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
• Establish project governance, status reporting, dashboards, delivery metrics, and leadership communications.
• Manage resource planning, capacity, release planning, delivery forecasting, and inter-team dependencies.
• Proactively identify delivery risks and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
• Drive continuous improvement in Agile processes, collaboration, delivery quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to organizational standards, governance, compliance, and SDLC processes.
• Support change management and effective communication of project priorities and outcomes.
