Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks an Aftersales Technical Documentation & Repair Methods Engineer to analyze engineering data, develop repair concepts, and document methods for the MB carlines.

The role requires 1–3 years in aftersales/technical documentation, strong 3D CAD data analysis skills, and knowledge of engineering change management, with additional pluses in programming and German language.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in After Sales/technical documentation/simulation/publication.
• Strong knowledge of automotive components and systems.
• Experience in repairs and maintenance of cars is useful.
• Proficient in 3D CAD data analysis.
• Experience with Engineering Change Management systems.
• Knowledge of programming and German language is a plus.
• Understanding MB aftersales processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Research and analysis of Engineering data (3D CAD).
• Evaluate & develop repair concepts in EC (independently or via DVR).
• Document repair methods in the database.
• Develop understanding of carlines & engines in MB cars.
• Coordinate with departments for updates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the specified working area.
• Research Daim Daimler AW-System based on MTM-Systematic.
• Plan AW-System for new car-models in DC-Repa (Daimler AW-Tool) (Optional).
• Derive Standard Times via MTM-Systematic (AW: repair time for workshops) (Optional).

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analysis of Engineering data (3D CAD)
• Evaluate & develop repair concepts in EC (independently or via DVR)
• Document repair methods in the database
• Develop thorough understanding of the various carlines & engine types in MBC
• Co-ordinate with different departments for updates on the above
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the specified working area
• Research and analysis of Daimler AW-System based on MTM-Systematic
• (Optional) Planning of the AW-System for new car-models in DC-Repa (Daimler AW-Tool)
• (Optional) Derive Standard Times via MTM-Systematic (AW: repair time for workshops)

Qualifications

• Min 1-3 years’ experience in the field of After Sales/technical documentation/ simulation/publication
• Good knowledge on automotive components/systems and its functioning is must
• Experience in repairs & maintenance of cars would be useful
• Experience in 3D CAD data analysis is a must
• Experience in any Engineering Change Management system
• Knowledge in computer programming & German language are added advantages
• (Added advantage) Knowhow of the key aftersales processes in the MB workshops is desired (e.g.: what does an MB-Technician need? )
