Job summary

ZEISS Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Aftersales Engineer Metrology to manage post-sales activities, customer relationships, technical engagement, and revenue generation for metrology solutions. The candidate should have hands-on experience in CMM and metrology software, and be willing to travel to customer sites across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 years experience in Metrology, CMM, Quality Assurance, Industrial Measurement, Application Engineering, Technical Sales or Aftersales
• Strong knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and dimensional inspection
• Hands-on experience with ZEISS CALYPSO and CALLIGO is mandatory
• Experience conducting technical training, demonstrations and customer seminars
• Strong commercial and customer-management skills
• Experience handling sales cycles, negotiations and payment collections
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluent English and Hindi mandatory
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations

Responsibilities

• Metrology Accessories & Solution Sales: Identify and generate opportunities for metrology accessories such as touch probes, stylus systems, fixture systems, adapter plates and customized solutions.
• Software Sales & Customer Training: Drive sales and adoption of metrology software, primarily ZEISS CALYPSO and CALLIGO.
• Software Maintenance Contracts: Manage and renew Software Maintenance Contracts (SMC) for existing customers.
• Aftersales & Commercial Management: Conduct regular customer visits for technical discussions, account management and sales activities.
• Aftersales & Commercial Management: Manage the complete sales cycle from Enquiry Techno-Commercial Proposal Negotiation Order Closure Payment Collection.
• Aftersales & Commercial Management: Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely receivable collection.
• Aftersales & Commercial Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers across automotive, aerospace and precision engineering industries.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Aftersales Engineer Metrology to manage post-sales activities, customer relationships, technical engagement, and revenue generation for metrology solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in CMM, dimensional measurement, probing systems, metrology accessories, and metrology software, along with hands-on experience in ZEISS CALYPSO and CALLIGO.

This is a field-intensive role involving regular customer visits across Delhi, Manesar, Jamshedpur and surrounding industrial areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Metrology Accessories & Solution Sales

• Identify and generate opportunities for metrology accessories such as touch probes, stylus systems, fixture systems, adapter plates and customized solutions.
• Understand customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate metrology solutions.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering and Technical teams at customer locations.

Software Sales & Customer Training

• Drive sales and adoption of metrology software, primarily ZEISS CALYPSO and CALLIGO.
• Conduct customer seminars, technical workshops, product demonstrations and hands-on training.
• Promote software upgrades, measurement modules and application-specific solutions.

Software Maintenance Contracts

• Manage and renew Software Maintenance Contracts (SMC) for existing customers.
• Engage with customers regarding software updates, technical support and version upgrades.
• Drive customer retention and maximize renewal opportunities.

Aftersales & Commercial Management

• Conduct regular customer visits for technical discussions, account management and sales activities.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from Enquiry Techno-Commercial Proposal Negotiation Order Closure Payment Collection.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely receivable collection.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 48 years of experience in Metrology, CMM, Quality Assurance, Industrial Measurement, Application Engineering, Technical Sales or Aftersales.
• Strong knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and dimensional inspection.
• Good understanding of probing systems, fixtures and metrology accessories.
• Hands-on experience with ZEISS CALYPSO and CALLIGO is mandatory.
