Job summary

BAeHAL in Bengaluru seeks an Aerospace Engineer to perform aerodynamic analysis for rotorcraft during design, development, test and certification. You will conduct analytical and computational evaluations, correlating with wind tunnel, ground-test and flight-test data.

The role requires strong data analysis skills, proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C++, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams across flight controls, propulsion, stress and airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering data analysis, interpretation of test results and preparation of technical reports.

The candidate will be responsible for aerodynamic analysis including performance, handling qualities/flight dynamics and loads assessment of rotorcraft during preliminary design, development, flight testing and certification. The role involves analytical and computational evaluation of rotorcraft aerodynamics along with correlation against wind-tunnel, ground-test and flight-test data.

Desired qualifications

• Experience in engineering data analysis, interpretation of test results and preparation of technical reports.
• Proficiency in at least one technical computing or programming environment, such as MATLAB, Python, C++, C or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with cross functional and multidisciplinary teams of flight controls, propulsion, stress, testing and airworthiness.
• Awareness of applicable military or civil rotorcraft airworthiness certification standards.

Mandatory qualifications

• Bachelors degree/ Masters degree/ Ph D in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline of professional experience in Analysis of Helicopter/Aircraft/Spacecraft/Missile Aerodynamics (Flight Dynamics/Performance/Loads/Flight Testing/Flight Simulation/Wind Tunnel testing/CFD)
