Job summary

Ciel HR seeks a seasoned Client-facing AEM consultant to guide customers and implementation partners in building customised AEM-based solutions. You will run quality checks, review designs, and ensure successful delivery across the implementation cycle.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of client-facing experience with strong AEM expertise, UI skills, and a track record of proactive problem solving. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to scale client maturity.

Qualifications

Role Overview

• Client facing technical advisory role with some hands on support
• Understand client business requirements and guide Customers and Implementation Partners on best practices to build customised solutions on the AEM platform
• Run quality checks across the implementation cycle and flag technical issues and risks early
• Help clients adopt the platform and scale up their maturity roadmap
• Needs strong technical depth in digital platform implementation, business and marketing understanding, and constant customer interaction

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead point of contact for customer engagements
• Build trusted advisor relationships with Clients and Implementation Partners
• Learn each client's website architecture, online business model and marketing strategy
• Gather and document business requirements, KPIs, and functional and technical needs
• Review solution designs and implementation strategies
• Validate implementations and follow issues through to resolution
• Troubleshoot and reproduce customer reported problems and define workarounds
• Identify gaps and risks and document recommendations in high quality standard artifacts
• Communicate assessments and recommendations proactively throughout the project life cycle
• Provide enablement and desk side coaching on product features and the future roadmap
• Work with marketers, analysts, web developers and C level executives, mainly over calls and emails
• Manage client expectations, keep projects on schedule and within scope, and handle multiple engagements at once
• Create technical documents and presentations
• Collaborate with internal teams, peers and project managers
• Mentor team members on new features and project learnings
• Contribute to the technical community and use standard processes and templates for timely, quality delivery

Must Have Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a client facing consultant with strong AEM implementation experience
• UI technologies: jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
• Java EE, Servlets, JSP, tag libraries and JSTL
• Dispatcher configuration, clustering, CRX repository, workflows, replication and performance management
• Application development, distributed application development and Internet/Intranet database applications
• AEM Sites, Assets and Forms deployment and migration
• AEM backend development: Sling Servlets, OSGi components and JCR queries
• Core frameworks: Apache Sling and Apache Felix
• CI/CD tools such as Maven and Jenkins
• Code quality and security tools such as SONAR
• Touch UI, Sightly (HTL) and Sling Models
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
• Professional client handling and experience presenting to client audiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Self motivated, responsive, solutions oriented, a quick learner and a team player who manages change well

Preferred Skills

• Prior AEM experience in a client facing role
• Knowledge of the latest AEM features and AEMaaCS (AEM as a Cloud Service)
• Understanding of AEM integration with Commerce, Campaign, Analytics, Target and Audience Manager
• Experience presenting to both technical and business audiences

Other Requirements:

Ability to work extended hours to overlap with North America Timings.
