Job summary

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in physical design and implementation.
  • Master’s degree in EE/ Electronics/ VLSI (or related).
  • Experience with full‑chip flow, ECOs, and PPA targets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sub‑system level floorplanning, placement, and routing for high‑performance microprocessor designs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across design, verification, and physical implementation to meet product targets.
  • Ensure designs meet power, performance, and area (PPA) targets through rigorous analysis and optimization.
  • Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to resolve functional and timing issues.
  • Take ownership of the RTL to GDSII implementation flow and ensure design quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to timing closure, static timing analysis, and full‑chip integration.
  • Drive physical verification tasks, including LVS, DRC, electromigration, and IR drop analysis.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Perform sub‑system level floorplanning, placement, and routing for high‑performance microprocessor designs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across design, verification, and physical implementation to meet product targets.
  • Ensure designs meet power, performance, and area (PPA) targets through rigorous analysis and optimization.
  • Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to resolve functional and timing issues.
  • Take ownership of the RTL to GDSII implementation flow and ensure design quality and efficiency.

Education
  • Required: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or related discipline
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (with equivalent experience)
Experience
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in physical design and implementation
Technical Skills

Proven hands‑on experience in:

  • Physical Design Flow: logic synthesis, floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, post‑route optimization
  • Static Timing Analysis (STA) and closure at full‑chip level
  • Handling multiple corners, asynchronous timing, and advanced timing constraints
  • Physical verification: DRC, LVS, power and noise analysis, electromigration checks
  • Familiarity with tools such as Synopsys ICC2, Cadence Innovus, PrimeTime, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of SoC architecture, timing budgets, and hierarchical design methodologies
