Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Privacy & Data Protection Specialist in Bengaluru to collaborate with product and delivery teams on privacy by design for cloud and on-premise products. You will review client RFI/RFQ/privacy clauses, advise on privacy implementations, and lead data breach response efforts.

Responsibilities include handling data access requests, overseeing subcontracting privacy controls, and coordinating with external counsel for audits, while promoting privacy governance and lawful data

Qualifications

• Experience with data privacy regulations and governance.
• Ability to communicate privacy concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of delivery operations and cloud privacy considerations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product development teams to ensure privacy by design for new products (cloud-based and on-premises).
• Review privacy-related sections in client RFIs/RFQs/MSAs and assist in feasibility studies of privacy requirements.
• Advise delivery teams on implementing privacy requirements.
• Lead employee awareness on lawful handling of PII.
• Manage data breach response processes to address privacy gaps.
• Handle data access requests from individuals and coordinate responses.
• Assess subcontracting/outsourcing of processing and include privacy clauses in vendor contracts.
• Coordinate with external privacy counsel for audits and expert input.
• Identify and implement internal privacy initiatives and data governance improvements.

• Partner with the product development team in the development of new products (including cloud based) and recommend privacy related features/controls, in summary Privacy by Design.
• Review and respond to privacy related sections in the RFI/RFQ/MSA from clients and collaborate in the feasibility study of privacy related requirements/clauses of the prospect, in the pre-contract sign-off stage.
• Advise the delivery teams regarding implementation of the privacy related requirements.
• Conduct employee awareness on lawful handling of personally identifiable information, as part of their work.
• Lead the data breach handling process for effective addresal of privacy related gaps (if any) reported, in the current process & systems.
• Manage the process related to personal data access requests from individuals.
• Assess subcontracting/outsourcing of any processing of personally identifiable information and recommend privacy related controls (including inclusion of appropriate clauses in the vendor contract.
• Liaison with external Privacy and Data Protection Counsel for expert views and audits.
• Identify and implement internal initiatives on Data Privacy.
