Job summary

HARMAN Automotive seeks an experienced Testing Engineer to drive development, maintenance, and upgrade of electronic testing equipment for EMS production. The role requires hands-on LabVIEW, TestStand, and instrumentation experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

You will plan and manage PCBA testers, develop test cases, and verify hardware/software integration while collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to minimize downtime and improve test reliability.

Qualifications

• Three years or more experience in EMS Electronic manufacturing as Testing Engineer.
• Be a strong communicator and excellent team builder.
• Good experience in testing area.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and upgrade electronic testing equipment for EMS production.
• Plan, control, and upkeep PCBA testing equipment and product testers.
• Develop test cases aligned with product features, architecture, HW & SW.
• Verify and validate testers across HW, SW, and system integration.
• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to reduce downtime and defects.

What You’ll Be Part Of

This position is responsible for all aspects of Electronic Testing Equipment development, maintenance and upgrading in Harman Suzhou operation. This includes: Planning, controlling and upkeeping all PCBA testing equipment's and Product testing equipment's. Be a strong team leadership and team player.

What Makes You A Strong Fit

• Having good programming knowledge in NI LabVIEW, Test stand, Vision Builder, Vision Assistant etc.
• Debugging & trouble shooting of LabVIEW & Test stand codes undefined
• Hands on experience in communication protocols like CAN, LIN, RS232, TCP/IP etc…
• Knowledge in Handeling all NI related Hardware's PCI, PXI Chasis, I/O cards etc
• Good Exposure in third party device like, keithley instruments, R&S Power supply, CMW270, CMW 500, Anritsu, Spirent, Spectracom etc.
• Verification & Validation of Testers in all criteria HW, SW, product, System intergartion etc…All running Tester(existing) need to understand & debug.
• Test case development according to Product feature, Architecture, HW & SW n-House development of Tester .
• Having exposure in C & C++ is added advantage.
• Supports manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
• Reviews circuit board designs for testability requirements.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Generates reports and analysis of test data, prepares documentation and recommendations.
• Reviews test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with team regularly.
• Directs engineering and technical personnel on operation of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
• Directs and coordinates engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, record, and reduce test data.
• Optimizes conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
• Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
• Perform moderately complex assignments of the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices.
• Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel.
• Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment.
• May provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
