Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a quality assurance engineer to perform deep exploratory, scenario-based, and end-to-end validation across interconnected repositories, ensuring business flow correctness and production readiness.

You will create and execute manual integration test plans, validate MQTT gateway interactions, OPC UA explorer/data broker communications, and installer behavior, with security checks and log reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in manual system/integration testing for complex products.
• Ability to interpret technical behavior in C#/C++/Python-backed systems.
• Hands-on with test case design, RTM, defect lifecycle, and release sign-off.
• Experience validating distributed environments (Windows/Linux) and service dependencies.
• Good command of protocol/API behavior validation and result interpretation.
• Clear documentation and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute manual integration test plans and traceable test cases.
• Validate end-to-end workflows across MQTT gateway interactions, OPC UA explorer/data broker communication, adapter and installer behavior, and redundancy/failover scenarios.
• Execute installer/deployment checks: fresh install, upgrade, rollback, config persistence; verify logs and error handling.
• Raise high-quality defects with reproducible evidence, impact, and priority.
• Collaborate with automation/dev teams to convert repeatable cases into automation backlog.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute manual integration test plans and traceable test cases.
• Validate end-to-end workflows across:
• MQTT gateway interactions
• OPC UA explorer/data broker communication
• adapter and installer behavior
• redundancy/failover and recovery user-impact scenarios
• Perform exploratory testing, edge-case testing, and release candidate certification.

Execute Installer/deployment Checks

• fresh install, upgrade, rollback, config persistence
• Verify logs, error handling, and operational behaviour under failure conditions.
• Raise high-quality defects with reproducible evidence, impact, and priority.
• Collaborate with automation/dev teams to convert repeatable cases into automation backlog.

• Ensure no sensitive data appears in UI/errors/log captures used for reporting.

Preferred

• Industrial/IoT middleware testing exposure.
• Installer and enterprise deployment test experience.
• Basic scripting to support repeatable setup/data preparation.
