Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a seasoned Automation & Controls expert for Bengaluru to lead critical projects in process industries. You will engage with engineering teams to analyze requirements, design robust automation solutions, and drive major NPIs releases.

Role demands deep DCS experience, strong problem-solving, and proficiency with industrial protocols and historians. Global collaboration, and cyber security awareness are key to delivering reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in technology area of emphasis.
• 8-12+ years of experience in process industries or related fields.
• Experience with DCS systems such as Honeywell Experion PKS, Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa, or ABB DCS.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols and historians (OSI PI, Aveva PHD) is required.

• He / She should Define & lead problem solving process which supports PA-LSS goals & objectives.
• He / She should use technical capability and significant problem-solving skills for complex problems that involves interaction with key technical disciplines.
• He / She should dedicatedly work in improving technical processes independently or through cross-functional teams.
• He / She should apply and develop advanced methodologies and technologies for Innovation of Product.

• Candidate should have experience in any of DCS System like Honeywell Experion PKS, Emerson Delta V, Yokogawa, Invensys Foxboro or ABB DCS
• Candidate should understand Plant condition, desired mode of process parameter values, Process Alarms, Critical Tags and performance indicators in production operations.
• Candidate should have understanding and hands-on with Historian like PHD & Aveva/OSI PI
• Candidate should handle customer requirements, evaluate requirement with product offering and engage with product team to elaborate customer needs.
• Candidate should have knowledge and experience with Industrial/Communication Protocols such as - PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EthernetIP, Modbus, OPC DA, OPC UA, HART, Fieldbus etc. for third party interfaces.
• Candidate should have knowledge on the overall Software lifecycle of product development.
• Candidate having knowledge on the Virtualization/Networking Concepts like VMWare and hands-on with Managed Switches.
• He / She should have Good Knowledge on Virtualization (VMWare)/Nutanix
• He / She having Cloud/OnPrem/Hybrid understanding and hands-on will be of added advantage.
• He / She should understand Machine learning, Python, SQL software will be of added advantage
• He / She having CEH Certification & performed cyber security testing will be of added advantage.
• Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as JIRA, Xray, is must.
