Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer with deep expertise in the .NET ecosystem to design, evolve, and optimize large-scale, high-load systems.

You will build and enhance C# / .NET applications, design scalable REST APIs, and integrate with SOAP and legacy systems. Responsibilities include MSSQL tuning, secure communication, threat modeling, and leveraging AI tools to produce robust code.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in the C# / .NET ecosystem.
• Proven background designing high-load systems.
• Strong REST API design, scalability and security.
• Experience with SOAP/legacy integrations.
• Proficiency in MSSQL performance tuning and concurrency.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10).
• Proficient English (B2+)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large monolithic systems with scalability in mind.
• Build and optimize high-load applications in C# / .NET.
• Design REST APIs with scalability, versioning, and security.
• Integrate with SOAP and legacy systems as needed.
• Perform MSSQL performance tuning, transactions, blocking and concurrency.
• Drive performance optimization and fault tolerance across services.
• Implement secure TLS/SSL communication and certificate handling.
• Apply secure coding practices and mitigate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Conduct threat modeling and mitigation strategies for critical systems.
• Identify and prevent vulnerabilities like injections and auth flaws.
• Leverage AI development tools to generate production-quality code and tests.
• Review and govern AI-generated output to maintain standards.
