Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer for Autosar to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive applications. The role focuses on AUTOSAR Classic, Vector toolchains, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will drive integration with microcontroller architectures, ensure ASPICE compliance, and participate in testing, documentation, and code reviews to deliver high-quality automotive software solutions.

Qualifications

• End-to-end AUTOSAR Classic configuration and integration with embedded C development.
• Experience with Vector tools for hardware/ECU integration.
• Knowledge of automotive protocols CAN, SPI, I2C and AUTOSAR workflows.
• Familiarity with ASPICE and automotive development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive applications.
• Lead testing and debugging of embedded components using Vector tools.
• Ensure traceability using DOORS and documentation of designs and test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and architecture.

Advanced Software Engineer – Autosar

This position is located at TCI Bengaluru.

Your Role

• Required Exp: 6-8 Yrs
• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications, leveraging expertise in embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Implement automotive communication protocols and integrate software modules with microcontroller architectures to ensure seamless operation within vehicle systems.
• Integrate embedded software development activities into the automotive product development process, following established procedures and standards such as AUTOSAR and ASPICE.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop software architectures, and deliver high-quality embedded software solutions in alignment with project objectives.
• Lead testing and debugging efforts for embedded software components, utilizing tools like Vector CANalyzer and CANoe to analyze communication protocols and verify system behavior.
• Manage embedded software requirements using tools like DOORS, ensuring traceability and alignment with project goals and customer needs.
• Document software design specifications, test plans, and validation reports to support the development and verification of embedded software solutions.
• Utilize version control systems such as Git and collaboration platforms like JIRA and Gerrit to manage software repositories and facilitate team collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with automotive product development processes and standards such as ASPICE, adhering to established guidelines and procedures throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews, perform static analysis, and contribute to quality assurance activities to validate the integrity and safety of embedded software implementations.

Your Background

• Graduate in BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech (Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation /Computer Science) with work experience of 6-10 years.
• Hands‑on experience with AUTOSAR Classic Architecture, including end‑to‑end configuration and integration of Embedded C Development with Vector Tools – CAN, CANalyser/CANoe. Proficient in communication protocols CAN, SPI, and I2C; Experience with Vector DaVinci Configurator and Developer; TRACE‑32; Classic AUTOSAR, MCAL Development with Automotive Domain.
• Good to have: Radar Background is preferable.
• Hands‑on experience with Vector DaVinci tools, particularly DaVinci Configurator and related AUTOSAR configuration workflows.
• Strong knowledge of 32‑bit microcontroller architectures, with hands‑on development experience on Infineon Aurix, Renesas, PowerPC, or ARM‑based automotive MCUs.
• Solid understanding of automotive product development lifecycle, including compliance and alignment with automotive SPICE (ASPICE).
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum‑based software development environments, including sprint planning, reviews, and continuous integration practices.
• Working experience in one or more automotive domains: ADAS.
