Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Ambernath (Maharashtra) seeks a Global AME Senior Industrial Project Leader to drive NPDI programs from concept to manufacturing release and coordinate cross-functional teams worldwide to meet time-to-market, capacity, and cost goals.

You will translate voice of the customer into DF manufacturing, perform FMEA analysis, map supply chain, and lead prototyping, pilot runs, and manufacturing layouts while driving cost and lead-time optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial/Manufacturing Engineering/Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering environment.
  • PMO certification or equivalent experience.
  • NPD/NPI experience.
  • Advanced Manufacturing Training/Expertise (Lean, Six-Sigma).
  • Strong coordination of cross-functional teams within projects.
  • Knowledge in Design for Manufacturability, FMEA, and cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and coordinate the manufacturing requirements of new products from concept to manufacturing release.
  • Coordinate and track all stages of prototype and pilot runs.
  • Develop documentation for new products (bills of materials, routings, manufacturing instructions).
  • Communicate project requirements, actions, and status with other departments.
  • Develop and implement product quality standards between production plants; improve methods for efficiency.
  • Estimate resource requirements, production times, and scheduling for processes.
  • Drive the industrial scope as it relates to project requirements.
  • Collaborate globally with NPDI and supply chain teams.
  • Develop supply chain architecture to support customer requirements.
  • Value stream mapping of the process including configurators/ordering tools.
  • Make vs. Buy studies.
  • Design/develop and deploy equipment, tools & fixtures.
  • Provide feedback to design on DFM, assembly, and testing.
  • Align Product Cost expectations throughout NPDI project implementation.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing requirements of new parts from concept to release.
  • Initiate manufacturing technology innovations and oversee implementation.
  • Track and publish NPDI Deliverables using defined tools and databases.

Brief Job Description:

Global AME Senior Industrial Project Leaderwill:

Global AME Senior Industrial Project Leader coordinates and manages global projects and processes in within a manufacturing environment for NPDI projects and during plant-to-plant transfers. You will collaborate with the cross functional teams globally to drive time to market requirements, operational excellence, capacity planning to support business growth. You will contribute in the scenario planning and project execution management translating the voice of the customer into Design for Manufacturing, FMEA analysis, supply chain mapping with optimization of lead time, cost and capital, prototyping & piloting, manufacturing facility layouts and product line testing.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

  • Drive and coordinate the manufacturing requirements of new products, from project concept to manufacturing release of new products.
  • Coordinate and track all stages of prototype and pilot runs.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Materials teams to develop documentation for new products (bills of material, routings, and manufacturing instructions)
  • Communicate project requirements’, actions, and status with other departments.
  • Develops and implements product quality standards between production plants, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency.
  • Estimates resource requirements, production times and schedule for manufacturing processes.
  • Drives the industrial scope as it relates to the specific project requirements.
  • Collaborates cross functionally and globally with NPDI & supply chain teams.
  • Develops overall Supply Chain Architecture to support the key customer requirements.
  • Value stream mapping of the entire process - including customer touch points (configurators/ordering tools)
  • Make vs. Buy studies.
  • Equipment, tools & fixture design/development & deployment.
  • Provides feedback to the design team about Design for Manufacturability, assembly, test.
  • Drives alignment to the Product Cost expectations throughout the NPDI project implementation.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing requirements of new parts, from project concept to release of new products.
  • Initiate manufacturing technology innovations and oversee implementation, including new requirements for key processes that are unique to a new product design.
  • Track and publish NPDI Deliverables using defined tools and databases.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering environment.
  • Effective Process & Organization skills, ability to manage multiple key initiatives.
  • Project Management skills/toolset.
  • Ability to coordinate cross functional teams within a project execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial/Manufacturing Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience.
  • NPD/NPI Experience.
  • PMO certification/ equivalent experience
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
  • Advanced Manufacturing Training/Expertise (i.e.: Lean, Six-Signa, etc.).
  • Strong DFM experience/knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge in PMP process.
  • Knowledge in new manufacturing line setup.
  • Knowledgeable in product cost management
