Job summary

Autoliv India is seeking a detail-oriented Engineer to manage end-to-end engineering change activities across products, processes, systems and documentation. You will ensure controlled execution while maintaining compliance, quality, and risk management.

Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering background with experience in PLM/QAD environments and strong planning, escalation management and cross-functional collaboration skills in an automotive setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering (or related stream).
• English proficiency is mandatory; Tamil knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, review, approve, and implement engineering changes.
• Develop timing plans and ensure timely execution of changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and track progress.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation actions.
• Manage escalations and ensure delivery against time, cost, and quality targets.
• Ensure adherence to change management systems and processes.
• Maintain structured documentation and accurate data records.
• Prepare RFQs and handle projects end-to-end.
• Study product drawings (GD&T) and ensure engineering accuracy.
• Work with PLM and QAD systems for process control.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Engineer to manage end-to-end change activities across products, processes, systems, and documentation. The role ensures controlled execution of changes while maintaining compliance, quality, and risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, review, approve, and implement engineering changes
• Develop timing plans and ensure timely execution of changes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFT) and track progress effectively
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation actions
• Manage escalations and ensure delivery against time, cost, and quality targets
• Ensure adherence to change management systems and organizational processes
• Maintain structured documentation and accurate data records
• Prepare RFQs and handle projects end-to-end
• Study product drawings (GD&T) and ensure engineering accuracy
• Work with PLM and QAD systems for process control
