Ernst & Young LLP ( EY India ) invites applications for the Tax ACR-SMO-Advanced Analyst role in Bengaluru. The position supports the Services Management Office (SMO) within EY GDS, focusing on compliance, commercials, and user access across engagements.

You will work with cross-functional teams to monitor SLAs, prepare reports, and manage documents in SharePoint, ensuring accurate tracking of budgets, scope changes, and client commitments.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of total work experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce or Business Management.
• Experience in a multi-cultural, team environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Word; Power BI preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain key engagement documents in designated SharePoint folders (SOWs, EAs, PSMs, deliverables).
• Update and manage the compliance calendar; prepare executive summaries to highlight risks.
• Track client KPIs and SLAs with delivery teams; prepare standard operational reports.

The opportunity

In Tax, GCR is the subservice line and ACR is built to cater GCR’s corporate client to provide compliance and accounting services, they include statutory reporting and bookkeeping services. The Services Management Office (SMO) supports the clients of ACR in managing their Commercial, Tax quality, User access and robust tracking mechanism for SLA/KPI management processes. The SMO team offers the ease of managing clients (also referred to as Engagements within EY) in the following manner:

• Manage compliance of complex regulatory affairs across jurisdiction and support their processes end-to-end life cycle of an Engagement
• Provide project management support and control the cost of managing compliance across various regions/countries
• Measure and report engagements’ performance as per defined SLA’s and KPI’s of the clients

Responsibilities

Tax Quality Review

• Maintain key engagement documents in the designated SharePoint folders, including contracting documents such as SOWs, EAs, PSMs, and agreed deliverables
• Update and manage the compliance calendar by following up on deliverable status and preparing executive summaries to highlight potential risks to engagement leadership
• Work with delivery teams to track client KPIs and SLAs, and prepare standard operational reports for senior review

Commercials

• Maintain a complete record of project scope and fees throughout the engagement lifecycle
• Monitor team time and expenses, ensuring compliance with relevant policies
• Support invoice issuance and track accounts receivable status
• Prepare time and expense reports and compare engagement budgets against actual performance
• Track ongoing scope changes and maintain records until the CRN is approved

User Access

• Initiate access requests for new joiners in a timely manner for both EY and client ERP systems
• Maintain an updated log of users and their access across EY and client systems
• Coordinate with IT teams and provide Level 1 support for access-related matters

Key Competencies and Skills

• 2 to 4 years of total work experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Commerce or Business Management
• Experience working in a multi-cultural and team environment
• Proficiency with tools like MS - Office, Excel, PPT & Doc and Power BI
• Have excellent communication skills - both written and oral
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and structured thinking abilities
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Demonstrate an eye for detail
• Be flexible and willing to adjust responsibilities to align with developing business needs
