Job description

The Administrative Officer (AO) is an on‑site position supporting a 24/7 datacenter physical security operation. The AO acts as the principal administrative support to the Site Security Manager (SSM) and the on‑site security team, helping maintain continuity across shifts in a round‑the‑clock environment. Responsibilities may include assisting with client service and issue resolution, scheduling and coverage coordination, system monitoring, Security Operations Center (SOC) systems maintenance, audit and compliance support, access rights and log maintenance. This role is critical to supporting the daily operations of the datacenter security team.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll help keep site security operations running smoothly and serve as a key point of contact when the SSM is unavailable. You’ll work closely with the SSM and local Securitas branch partners to support daily operations, ensure policies and procedures are followed, and maintain continuity across the site.

You’ll also support the administrative and operational backbone of the site, including coordinating schedules, assisting with audits and inspections, and helping track compliance and equipment readiness. Part of the role includes identifying and escalating technology or device issues, supporting routine system maintenance, and occasionally assisting at nearby sites as needed.

As part of the leadership support function, you’ll help surface performance or operational gaps, recommend corrective actions, and assist the SSM with coaching or corrective action discussions when directed. You’ll prepare and handle sensitive reports and documentation with accuracy and discretion, support data‑driven reviews of site performance, and escalate safety or security concerns to the appropriate leaders.

Overall, this role is about being a trusted operational partner — supporting leadership, strengthening oversight, and helping improve the effectiveness of the site security program.

What you need to apply

To apply for this role, you should have 4+ years of relevant experience in the security industry, business operations, or a similar environment, along with an associate degree or equivalent experience. This position is ideal for someone who has supervised teams before and is confident reinforcing expectations, following up on tasks, and helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

This role involves a significant amount of computer-based work, including scheduling, reporting, tracking information, and handling routine administrative tasks. Comfort with technology and strong attention to detail are essential. Practical, working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is required, as these tools are used daily. You should be organized, reliable, and comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities while supporting team oversight.

All applicants must have reliable means of communication and transportation (public or private) to travel to and from work, the legal right to work in the country where the position is located, and proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English and the common local language (where applicable).

Applicants must also be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (such as during emergencies or high‑priority events). Applicants must be able to meet and continue to meet licensing requirements for security officers, as applicable to local, county, and state laws and regulations.

What you’ll get

We offer more than just a job; we offer the chance to be part of a collaborative and supportive team where your contributions are valued and your growth matters. In this role, you will thrive in a dynamic environment while supporting a prestigious multinational client account. You will gain exposure to global operations and cross-regional collaboration, and you will have access to continuous learning, training programs, and career development opportunities designed to help you succeed.

The extra stuff

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the job location, and willing to complete the company’s pre‑employment screening, including a background check and drug screening. This role may require evening, overnight, or weekend work, particularly during emergencies or high‑priority events. Work may occur in outdoor or inclement weather or environments requiring protective gear and heightened safety awareness. The role requires the physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 12 miles/19 km per shift), climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds (11 kg).
