This role moves beyond application architecture to stitching together comprehensive Business Architectures and acting as the technical face of major accounts.

You will drive architecture governance, oversee complex upgrades, and lead modernization including cloud migration, containerization, and DevOps.

Role Overview

Acuver Consulting is seeking a highly mature, strategic Enterprise Architect with 12+ years of extensive experience, hands‑on expertise in the IBM Sterling OMS ecosystem.

In this pivotal role, you will move beyond application‑level architecture to stitch together comprehensive Business Architectures. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will serve as the technical face of major accounts, directly managing client expectations, leading architectural governance, and driving the ultimate strategic direction of complex order management implementations, upgrades, and migrations.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Architectural Ownership: Drive long‑term business architecture and strategy for enterprise‑scale IBM Sterling OMS implementations. You will be the final decision‑maker on architectural strategy, superseding project management in technical direction.
• Client Leadership & Governance: Act as the primary technical advisor and face of the account for senior client stakeholders. Lead rigorous governance processes and translate complex business challenges into scalable technical roadmaps.
• Modernization & Engineering Execution: Architect and oversee complex Sterling ecosystem upgrades (UI and Backend), while driving the adoption of modern engineering practices including Cloud Migration, Containerization, and DevOps integration.
• Ecosystem Integration: Lead the implementation of the Aekyam framework alongside core Sterling engineering, ensuring seamless integration with broader enterprise systems and AI capabilities.
• Practice Development & Upskilling: Constantly upskill and drive technology adoption within the organization. Work alongside our internal Tech Cohort to review architectures, mentor technical leads, and elevate the OMS practice’s overall engineering maturity.

What You’ll Need

• Deep IBM Sterling OMS Mastery: Extensive, mature, and hands‑on experience (12+ years) specifically within the IBM Sterling OMS ecosystem. Expert‑level understanding of core architecture, Promising and Allocation engines, Inventory Visibility, and complex customizations.
• Modern Java & Cloud‑Native Architecture: Foundational understanding of new‑age application development and architecture frameworks associated with Java (e.g., Spring Boot). Proven ability to architect highly scalable, cloud‑based applications utilizing microservices, complex event‑driven choreography, and orchestration patterns.
• Domain & Business Architecture Acumen: Strong supply chain and retail domain experience. Proven ability to elevate technical discussions into comprehensive Business Architecture solutions that drive long‑term value.
• Advanced Technology Exposure: Demonstrated experience architecting solutions that incorporate Cloud Migrations, Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines).
• Quality Assurance Expertise: Solid understanding of, and experience with, QA automation frameworks and strategies to ensure highly resilient and performant deployments.
• Exceptional Client Authority: Demonstrated ability to independently handle large enterprise customers, influence executive stakeholders, and build consensus without relying on heavy management oversight.
