Mercer, a Marsh business, is hiring for Specialist/Senior Specialist - Actuarial in Gurgaon/Noida on a hybrid model requiring three days in the office. The role supports U.S. health benefits engagements and mentors junior analysts while contributing to client materials and deliverables.

We seek candidates with at least 3 years of actuarial experience, a math-focused degree, and compulsory CS1/CM1 exams, with many exams cleared or in progress. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health Actuarial team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Gurgaon/Noida. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Specialist / Senior Specialist - Actuarial (C Level) Mercer’s GSD Health Actuarial team is seeking candidate for various roles to support client engagements focused on U.S. employers’ healthcare benefits strategy and financials. This is a hands‑on role working with U.S. consulting & Actuarial teams to deliver high‑quality analysis and client materials. The successful candidate will be an individual contributor who is developing into a lead role – occasionally presenting to clients, guiding junior analysts, and partnering with senior colleagues.

We will count on you for:

• Process, validate and update data in actuarial and financial models like experience monitoring, Reserving, regulatory reporting, etc.
• Prepare and analyze actuarial and financial reports for US H&B clients
• Peer reviews the reports prepared by the team members and share observations
• Liaison with onshore consultants for any data or project related queries resolution
• Participate and contribute to any special project requirements
• Support in any new transitions, documentation and creation of PMAPs and SOP
• Mentors/ trains the team members on process related queries
• Complete scope and estimate effort & timelines for all projects or consulting tasks, ensuring effective utilization of team resources and developing the culture of delivering operational excellence.

What you need to have:

• Minimum 3 years of actuarial experience, US H&B Actuarial experience is preferred.
• Any graduate degree – preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, or another quantitatively rigorous discipline.
• Must have passed CS1 and CM1 exams from IAI or IFoA - and preferably 5+ actuarial exams cleared, or equivalent progress toward actuarial qualification from other institutes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpretation skills with attention to numerical accuracy.
• Practical knowledge of health & benefits (H&B) domain preferred—experience with employer-sponsored healthcare in the U.S. is an advantage.
• Familiarity with actuarial reserving (IBNP), underwriting analytics, or carrier selection frameworks.
