Overview

Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking to hire a Analyst for FRS Actuarial. You will work on a variety of client service projects under the supervision of more experienced consultants and with appropriate client contact. These services include funding valuations, accounting disclosures and government forms. The primary focus of the Analyst is to "Do" the work efficiently and effectively.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and support the production of actuarial valuations for defined benefit pension plans, including data validation, liability calculations, and results analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of funding valuations, funding reports, and related actuarial calculations in accordance with plan and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review data, calculations, and supporting schedules for government filings, including Form 5500 schedules, PBGC filings, AFTAP certifications, and other regulatory requirements.
• Support the preparation of accounting disclosures and pension accounting results under applicable accounting standards (ASC 715, IAS 19, FRS 102, as applicable).
• Perform data checks, reconciliation, and quality reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of actuarial calculations, reports, and client deliverables.
• Work with actuarial valuation software and Excel-based models to perform liability calculations, gain/loss analysis, and year-on-year results reconciliation.
• Collaborate with onshore consultants, project managers, and reviewers to meet project timelines, resolve data queries, and deliver high-quality client work.
• Maintain process documentation, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of standardised actuarial procedures and tools.

About you

Qualifications:

Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience (Career Level Guide): 2 to 4 years of relevant experience

Given a project can, with some help and within the context of his or her base of knowledge, lay out a plan for achieving the objective in an efficient manner (i.e., individuals who have to be directed each step or all steps of a project generally don’t meet this criteria).
