Job summary

Khatib & Alami Bengaluru is seeking a Design Engineer – Acoustics with 3–8 years of experience in acoustical consultancy and design to deliver cost-effective acoustic solutions for building and infrastructure projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop, model, and implement noise control strategies.

The role involves conducting surveys, preparing calculations, reports, and CAD/Revit drawings, while coordinating with architects and engineers to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in acoustical consultancy/design.
• Strong knowledge of acoustics, noise and vibration control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, SketchUp and CadnaA/CadnaB.
• Knowledge of relevant noise, acoustics, and vibration codes and standards.
• Good technical report writing, communication, coordination, and client-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct noise and vibration surveys, measurements, analysis, and computational modelling.
• Design and recommend solutions for sound insulation, noise control, vibration isolation, and acoustic treatment.
• Prepare acoustic calculations, technical reports, drawings, and presentations.
• Develop and review CAD/Revit drawings and coordinate acoustic requirements with architects and engineers.
• Conduct site inspections and field measurements and support data collection and analysis.
• Prepare noise mitigation strategies considering applicable codes, standards, materials, and installation methods.
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, and multidisciplinary consultants to resolve acoustic design issues.
• Support project proposals, technical submissions, and review-based projects.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers in acoustics, vibration, and noise control.
