Job summary

TMF Group in Mumbai seeks a motivated Junior Accounting Executive to support the Finance & Accounts team. This role offers exposure to daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and documentation, ideal for fresh graduates starting a career in accounting.

You will handle data entry, invoice verification, and month-end tasks, while collaborating with global teams and learning through TMF Business Academy. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Graduates or equivalent with strong accounting concepts.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Internship or project exposure in Accounting/Finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day accounting transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist with invoice verification and documentation.
• Maintain accounting records, vouchers and supporting documents.
• Assist with bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing activities with basic reconciliations and reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect accounting information.
• Ensure filing and maintenance of statutory and financial documents.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Executive to support the Finance & Accounts team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates seeking to build a career in accounting and gain practical exposure to financial processes, documentation, reconciliations, and accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in recording day-to-day accounting transactions in the accounting system.
• Support invoice verification and documentation activities.
• Maintain and organize accounting records, vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Assist with bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
• Support preparation of routine accounting schedules and reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams for collection of accounting-related information.
• Assist in tracking outstanding invoices and follow-up activities.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing basic reconciliations and reports.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of statutory and financial documents.
• Participate in process improvement and data-clean-up initiatives as required.

Key Requirements

• Graduates, or equivalent.
• Strong academic understanding of accounting concepts and bookkeeping principles.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Internship or project exposure in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Audit will be an added advantage.
