We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Compliance Executive to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in books of accounts, timely GST and TDS compliance, and smooth coordination of payables, receivables, and invoicing processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. GST Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of all GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.)
- Perform regular GST reconciliation (GSTR-2A/2B vs. purchase register) to identify and resolve mismatches
- Coordinate with vendors/consultants to resolve input tax credit discrepancies
2. Books of Accounts Review
- Review all books of accounts, ledgers, and account groups for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and correct discrepancies in entries, classifications, and groupings
- Ensure books are audit-ready at all times
3. Bookkeeping – Payables & Receivables
- Maintain accurate mapping of payables and receivables
- Conduct regular follow-ups with vendors and customers for pending payments/collections
- Track aging of outstanding balances and escalation overdue items
4. Invoicing
- Manage end-to-end invoicing process, including generation, verification, and dispatch of invoices
- Maintain proper filing and record-keeping of all invoicing documentation
- Ensure invoices comply with statutory and company requirements
5. MSME Compliance
- Basic working knowledge of MSME regulations, especially provisions related to payment timelines to MSME-registered vendors
- Assist in tracking and reporting MSME-related dues and compliance requirements
6. Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payable and receivable reports
- Share periodic reports with management highlighting outstanding positions and trends
7. TDS
- Working knowledge of TDS provisions, deduction rates, and applicable sections
- Assist in timely deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred)
- 6 months-1 year of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and statutory compliance
- Working knowledge of Tally/ERP or similar accounting software
- Sound understanding of GST, TDS, and MSME regulations
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills
