Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks an India Assistant Controller to oversee controllership, compliance, audits, risk assessment, and business analytics in Bengaluru. This on-site role reports to the India Controller and supports accurate reporting and informed decision-making.

Candidate should have CA/CPA or accounting degree with relevant experience, and a track record with Big 4 audits, tax, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or accounting degree with 5+ years' experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience improving internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Direct tax experience and handling audits with Big 4 or similar firms.
• Proficiency with financial reporting tools like Hyperion/Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Direct Tax compliance including TDS/WHT returns and filings.
• Ensure compliance with FEMA, CSR, Income Tax, TDS, EPF, RBI regulations.
• Prepare and coordinate Statutory, Tax, Internal/SOX audits and drive remediation.
• Support analytics with ad-hoc reporting and cross-functional initiatives.

The India Assistant Controller is responsible for controllership, compliance, audits, risk assessment, and business analytics to support accurate reporting and effective decision-making. This position reports to the India Controller and is part of the finance and accounting, Bengaluru and will be an on-site role. What you will do:

• Ensure Direct Tax compliance, including (but not limited to) TDS/WHT returns preparation and filing, TDS/WHT reconciliation and filing Form 15CA, Income Tax Return filings preparation, Advance Tax computations, Tax Audit data provision (Form 3CD), Transfer Pricing data provision(Form 3CEB), and support Income Tax and TP assessments collaborating with tax team, support annual pricing campaign collaborating with Transfer Pricing team.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including FEMA, CSR, Income Tax, TDS, EPF, MSMED, RBI regulations, ICFR controls, transfer pricing, and revenue recognition policies.
• Prepare and coordinate various audits/reviews – Statutory, Tax, Internal/Sox, Balance Sheet Review etc and drive control deficiency remediation and process improvement initiatives.
• Support business analytics through timely execution of ad-hoc analyses, reporting, and participate/lead cross-functional initiatives.

Who you are:

• Professional accountant preferably CA or CPA with 3 to 5 years’ experience or accounting degree with 5 to 10 years’ experience.
• Proven ability to understand and improve the internal controls for increased safeguarding of company assets.
• Previously handled audits from Big 4 or similar firms and mandatory direct tax experience.
• Demonstrated experiences to improve processes and in optimizing working capital.
• Use of financial reporting tools such as Hyperion, Oracle and Microsoft Excel to provide timely and accurate financial statements.
