Job summary

ABB in Bangalore is seeking a Spanish-speaking Accounts Payable Specialist to support Procure-to-Pay operations for Spanish-speaking countries. You will handle invoice processing, vendor inquiries, and payment activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with ABB policies.

You'll collaborate with the Finance Services team on AP processes, contribute to internal control reporting, and translate financial documents between Spanish and English as needed.

Qualifications

This Position reports to: Accounting & Reporting Manager - Account

We are looking for a Spanish-speaking Accounts Payable Specialist with strong process knowledge and a customer-focused mindset to support our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations. This role involves managing invoice processing, vendor queries, and payment-related activities for Spanish-speaking countries within ABB, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with ABB policies.

This role is contributing to the Finance Services business Accounts Payable division in Bangalore, India.

Accountable for:

• Processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate tracking and processing.
• Performing necessary activities within the accounts payable area to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Executing analysis and reports assigned and taking appropriate action as necessary.
• Compiling with and helping to achieve internal control over financial reporting compliance in accounts payable for applicable templates.
• Participating in internal control testing and preparing relevant documentation. Ensuring all relevant stakeholders are aware of progress and/or issues to maximize customer satisfaction. Check invoices to verify that they comply with the fiscal and internal control requirements.
• Focusing on organizing and coordinating on a task, project or program basis in support of a pro-cess or internal team.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Ability to interpret and communicate financial information in both languages.
• Certification in Accounts Payable or Financial Accounting is a plus.
• Experience supporting Spanish-speaking countries in a finance function.
• You are immersed engaged in working with SAP.
• Ability to demonstrate as 0 to 2 year experience or skills in, SAP, AP, P2P, journal entries.
• You are passionate about Analytics skills.
• Degree in Mcom/MBA-finance/Bcom with proper documentation and percentage.
• Fluency in English & Spanish (spoken and written) is essential

Language & Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking vendors and internal teams. Translate financial documents and vendor communications from Spanish to English and vice versa. Ensure clear and professional communication across multiple regions.
