Job summary

Chain IQ is hiring an experienced Accountant in Navi Mumbai to manage day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge and experience in a fast-paced corporate environment, with 5–7+ years in accounting, familiarity with ERP systems, and excellent analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA Inter / CMA / ACCA / MBA Finance (preferred).
• 5-7+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Month-End Closing processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable - Posting Invoices and executing payments, review of open purchase orders and follow-up with departments.
• Perform Bank Reconciliation on a weekly basis.
• Process Travel & Expense reimbursement claims & payments.
• Month end closing - Reconciliations, depreciation runs, forex reval, tax journals, variance analysis.
• MIS & Reporting - prepare standard and ad hoc reports for management.
• Assist in audits by preparing audit supporting documents.
• Drive process improvements.

Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable- Posting Invoices and executing payments, Review of open purchase order in system and following-up for the invoices with respective department.
• Performing Bank Reconciliation on a weekly basis
• Processing Travel & Expense reimbursement claims & their payment
• Month end closing- Responsible for month end closing activities like Reconciliation, preparing schedules depreciation runs, forex reval, Tax journals, variance analysis
• MIS & Reporting-preparing standard and ad hoc MIS Reports as required by management from time to time
• Assisting in Audits by preparing audit supporting documents as required by Auditors, any other workings
• Process improvements.

Journal Entries & General Ledger Accounting

• Prepare and post journal entries, including:
• Payroll
• Accruals
• Prepaid expenses
• Reclassifications
• Other month-end adjustments
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA Inter / CMA / ACCA / MBA Finance (preferred).
• 5-7+ years of accounting and finance experience.
