Job summary

Medline India in Pune is seeking a skilled accounting professional to manage month-end close duties, prepare journal entries, and generate financial reports while ensuring GAAP compliance.

You will support the year-end audit by updating SAP-related schedules and reconciliations, and act as backup in the Corporate Accounting Department. Strong Excel skills and experience with large data sets are highly valued.

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA/CGMA/CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

• CPA, CGMA, CMA preferred.
• SAP, AS400, and QAD systems experience ideal.
• Advanced Excel and ability to work with large data sets preferred.

Job Summary

Process Month-end duties including preparation and completion of Journal Entries and Financial Reports. Support Year-end Audit by creating and updating schedules to support our financial results. Perform Account Reconciliations that substantiate the values on the Balance Sheet. Ensure processes produce correct GAAP accounting and have sufficient documentation for both the procedure and the purpose.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• - Year-end audit support including updating SAP, preparing/updating schedules, and preparing sections of audited statements.
• - Prepare and/or approve monthly close data, journal entries, and account reconciliation. Analyze operating financials, interpret results and recommend a plan of action to improve the accounting process.
• - Perform Account Reconciliations designed to provide a Strong Control on the Balance Sheet.
• - Serve as backup for key individual(s) in the Corporate Accounting Department.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
