Job summary

Medline India is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 1–2 years of accounting experience to join the global lease accounting team. You will prepare ASC 842 lease journal entries, reconcile lease balances, and support disclosures across entities.

Key responsibilities

• Populate monthly ASC 842 lease journal entries for global entities.
• Prepare lease reconciliation of lease related balance sheet and lease expense accounts.
• Prepare ASC 842 related disclosures for interim and annual reporting.
• Review new or amended lease agreements in detail and validate all related data within the lease accounting systems. (Globally)
• Update existing records/contracts for renewal, early termination or others globally.
• Update discount rates for both US GAAP and IFRS/local GAAP scenarios.
• Perform ad-hoc assessment on embedded leases or other unique contracts as needed.
• Communicate with business partners frequently and provide insight on accounting treatment and financial impact on global leasing transactions.
• Support for Consolidation activities during reporting period and Year-End Adhoc tasks , Simplification & Automation Projects.

Required Skills & experience

• Qualification and experience CA with 1-2 years of experience Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Lease accounting or month close experience would be preferred
• Work experience- Experience with SAP/Oracle Month end close process, reconciliation and Controllership.
• Comprehensive knowledge of multi-national bookkeeping IS experience Multiple ERP systems knowledge (SAP & Oracle) Excellent excel skills
