Job summary

Feedx Foods is seeking an hands-on Accountant to own end-to-end books for a high-volume F&B unit. You will reconcile daily sales across Petpooja POS, Swiggy/Zomato, UPI, cards, and cash, and manage vendor payments and stock takes.

Key tasks include GST, TDS, payroll coordination with HR, and publishing a detailed monthly P&L with cost commentary. This role requires 3–5 years in F&B accounting and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in commerce; CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in F&B (restaurants/bars/QSR).
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime and advanced Excel (pivots, vlookup, reconciliations).
• Familiarity with Petpooja POS and aggregator settlement reports.
• Practical GST understanding applied to restaurants and bars.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end daily sales reconciliation across POS, aggregators, UPI, and cash.
• Manage purchases, vendor ledgers, and inventory with rate/quantity control.
• Ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, payroll PF/ESI) and renewals.
• Prepare monthly P&L and partner-level MIS for four partners.
• Support internal and statutory audits and data requests.

Job description

We're looking for an accountant who can own the books end to end daily sales reconciliation, vendor and bar-stock control, statutory compliance, and a clean monthly P&L . This is a hands‑on role in a single‑unit, high‑volume F&B operation, not a back-office desk job.

Key responsibilities

Daily sales & cash

• Complete the day-closing reconciliation: Petpooja POS sales against Swiggy, Zomato, and other aggregator reports, UPI/QR collections, card settlements, and cash deposits
• Investigate and elevate variances, short settlements, aggregator deductions, and chargebacks
• Manage petty cash, cash handover from cashiers, and daily bank deposits

Purchases, vendors & inventory

• Process purchase bills against GRNs and POs; flag rate and quantity mismatches
• Maintain the vendor ledger, ageing, and payment schedule; process payment runs after approval
• Coordinate monthly food, beverage, and bar stock takes; compute F&B cost percentages and consumption variance against theoretical usage
• Track liquor stock movement and maintain excise-related records and registers in line with UP excise requirements

Statutory compliance

• GST: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, ITC tracking, and aggregator TCS credits
• TDS deduction, deposit, and quarterly return support; professional tax
• Payroll processing with PF and ESI compliance, in coordination with HR
• Maintain a licence and renewal calendar (FSSAI, excise, trade licence, fire) and flag expiries in advance

Reporting

• Close the books monthly and publish the P&L with cost-line commentary — food cost, beverage cost, labour, rent, utilities, aggregator commissions, marketing
• Prepare partner-level MIS, including capital and loan account schedules for the four partners
• Support statutory audit, internal audit, and any partner or investor information requests

Requirements

• B.Com / M.Com; CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus
• 3–5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in restaurants, bars, hotels, or QSR — F&B experience is essential, not preferred
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime and strong Excel (pivots, lookups, reconciliation workbooks)
• Familiarity with a restaurant POS — Petpooja experience is a strong advantage — and with aggregator settlement reports
• Practical understanding of GST as it applies to restaurants and bars
