Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Handle global employee expense reimbursement following Travel & Expense policies and approvals.
  • Coordinate with employees and managers to resolve expense-related queries and policy exceptions.
  • Support day-to-day accounting for the Australian entity, including cash postings and routine entries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding transactions.
  • Assist in global month-end closing with Intercompany reconciliations and group consolidation.
  • Assist in CIP calculations for R&D and IT projects with proper cost compilation.
  • Identify process gaps and support automation initiatives within finance and accounting processes.
  • Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job description

The role will support global finance operations with responsibility for employee expense reimbursement, Australian accounting activities, global month-end closing, and financial calculations relating to CIP for R&D and IT. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and the ability to work effectively across multiple regions and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle global employee expense reimbursement in accordance with the Company's Travel & Expense policies, including review of expense reports, supporting documentation, policy compliance, and required approvals.
  • Coordinate with employees, managers, and relevant stakeholders to resolve expense-related queries, discrepancies, missing documentation, and policy exceptions.
  • Support day-to-day accounting activities, with a primary focus on the Australian entity, including cash application, bank transaction postings, and other routine accounting entries.
  • Perform and support bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding or unreconciled transactions.
  • Assist in the global month-end closing process by preparing Intercompany reconciliations and group consolidation activities.
  • Assist in the preparation and calculation of CIP for R&D and IT projects, ensuring that relevant costs and calculations are appropriately compiled and supported.
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement and automation initiatives within finance and accounting processes.
  • Perform other finance and accounting-related responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in employee expense management, good working knowledge of day-to-day accounting activities and month-end closing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; and expense management systems will be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work across different regions and stakeholders, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
