Job summary

Hubris Strategic Advisors Noida is looking for an Accountant to manage daily bookkeeping, including journal entries and ledgers.

The ideal candidate will have a B.Com or M.Com degree and 2-4 years of accounting experience, familiar with Tally ERP and GST compliance. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and supporting audits, while collaborating with other departments.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping: pass journal entries, update ledgers, and do bank and party reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and simple MIS reports for management.
• Work regularly in Tally ERP to maintain and update accounts, ledgers, and vouchers.
• Support GST-related work: basic GST reconciliations, checking purchase and sales registers, and flagging mismatches to seniors.
• Help with PF and other statutory documentation as guided by the senior accountant.
• Handle routine accounts payable and receivable activities: vendor invoices, payment entries, follow-ups, and collections tracking.
• Prepare and organize supporting documents, schedules, and reconciliations for internal and statutory audits.
• Coordinate with other teams like HR, Operations, and Procurement for data, approvals, and documents when needed.
• Make occasional short field visits for tasks such as cheque deposits, bank work, vendor document collection, or verification.

What Were Looking For

• Education: B.Com / M.Com.
• Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience (articleship or prior roles in accounts, finance, or similar will be considered).
• Good understanding of basic accounting concepts and double-entry system.
• Practical, hands-on experience with Tally ERP for day-to-day accounting work.
• Working knowledge of GST and PF concepts; experience in day-to-day compliance work will be a plus.
• Comfortable with Excel for basic reports, reconciliations, and data handling.
• Detail-oriented, good with numbers, and able to follow processes carefully.
• Clear communication skills and a polite, professional way of dealing with vendors, colleagues, and external partners.
• Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and willingness to learn and take feedback.
