Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced R2R professional to provide accounting, reporting, and consolidation expertise. You will support financial statement preparation, ensure compliance with ABB policies and local guidelines, and liaise with auditors on accounting matters.

The role focuses on improving policies, executing established procedures, and performing quality checks on reporting data. Onsite work in Bangalore with key stakeholders including Business Controllers and auditors.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in R2R Finance and accounts.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with SAP and Finance Transformation projects.
• MBA or M.Com in Commerce/Finance preferred.
• Strong English communication skills.

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide accounting, reporting, and consolidation expertise. Each day, you will support in accounting and reporting matters to business/reporting units through resolution of accounting and reporting questions, financial statement preparation and review follow-up on accounting issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting in the preparation of financial reports in compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Finance and Accounting Operations in Bangalore. Main stakeholders are Business Controllers, Group technical accounting, Internal/External auditors etc

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Contributing to the definition, implementation, and improvement of accounting policies relevant to your area and level of expertise.
• Executing established accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ABB group policies and local instructions.
• Performing quality checks on financial reporting data submitted by the units, including analytical review of major fluctuations, and liaising with internal and external auditors on accounting and reporting issues.
• Conducting investigations and reconciliation of accounting transaction, as necessary, and facilitating the resolution of accounting and reporting issues.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• You are immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in/ you enjoy working with numbers, SAP, Microsoft excel
• Ability to demonstrate your experience in / Have established skills / advanced skills / You have 7-10 years of experience in R2R Finance and accounts
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of / You are qualified in / Highly adept in US GAAP/IFRS
• You are passionate about / you are captivated by / you are innovative around SAP, Finance Transformation projects
• Degree in / Have a demonstrated track record in / Extensive knowledge of / Proven experience of MBA, M.com in Commerce/Finance
• You are at ease communicating in English
