Job summary

Kantar in Gurgaon is seeking an experienced qualitative research professional to advise clients on brand performance and deliver creative insights. You will lead projects, guide junior researchers, and present findings that influence client strategies across consumer insights and market research domains.

The ideal candidate has 4-8 years in qualitative research, with a proven ability to moderate groups and perform in-depth interviews, ethnography, and online methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience in Qualitative Research.
  • Experience in consumer-focused qualitative market research; FMCG/retail/healthcare exposure is a plus.
  • Proven track record in moderating focus groups, in-depth interviews and ethnography; running online methodologies is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects are resourced and implemented correctly, within budget and on time, to client satisfaction.
  • Guide research executives and coach them in qualitative techniques.
  • Client management and presentation of credentials, proposals, and research results.
  • Report writing and client-facing presentations including recommendations; ability to work independently.
  • Manage analysis, interpretation and reporting to reflect the client's business objectives in findings.
  • Write proposals with minimal Director input.
  • Negotiate acceptable costs and contract terms with suppliers.
  • Create discussion guides and screeners and moderate groups, interviews, ethnography and online forums.

Role Responsibilities
  • To ensure that projects are resourced and implemented correctly, to the satisfaction of the client, within budget and on time.
  • Guiding the research executives working on a project to understand exactly what is required of them and training them if necessary. Contribution to the overall training of executives in qualitative research techniques.
  • Client management and presentation of company credentials, proposals, and research results
  • Report writing and presentation creation including client recommendations, with the ability to work independently.
  • Management of the analysis, interpretation, and reporting process so that the project reflects the Client's business objectives in the presentation and reporting of findings.
  • Writing proposals with minimum Director input
  • Negotiation of acceptable costs and contract agreements with suppliers.
  • Creation of discussion guides and screeners + moderation of groups, interviews, ethnography and online forums.
Capability Statement

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is client focused and has experience of dealing directly with clients on a daily basis, including face-to-face at groups etc.

  • We are looking for 4-8 years of Experience in Qualitative Research
  • The position requires an intelligent graduate with several years' experience of qualitative market research, primarily consumer focused; specific experience of the FMCG, retail and healthcare sectors would be an advantage.
  • A demonstrable track-record in moderating focus groups, in-depth interviews and ethnography, and running online methodologies are essential.
