Responsibilities

• Handle complete accounting operations using Tally Prime.
• Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, journals, sales and purchase records.
• Manage GST compliance, including GST returns and related documentation.
• Handle TDS compliance, calculations, payments and returns.
• Handle Income Tax-related accounting and compliance and coordinate with CA.
• Prepare and manage e-invoices and e-way bills.
• Manage invoicing, receipts and outstanding receivables.
• Manage vendor bills, payments and outstanding payables.
• Conduct regular reconciliations (bank, customers, vendors, ledgers).
• Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports and MIS for management.
• Monitor and account for company expenses and operational costs.
• Maintain accounting records for transport and equipment rental operations.
• Verify bills and supporting documents before posting.
• Coordinate with CA, auditors, banks, customers and vendors.
• Assist with annual finalisation of accounts and audits.
• Ensure timely completion of statutory accounting and tax-related requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and take corrective action.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager who will be responsible for managing the complete accounts and taxation function of the company.

The candidate will independently handle day-to-day accounting as well as GST, TDS, Income Tax, statutory compliance, banking, reconciliations, receivables, payables, and financial reporting. The company uses Tally Prime for accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complete accounting operations of the company using Tally Prime.
• Maintain all books of accounts, ledgers, journals, sales and purchase records.
• Manage GST compliance, including GST returns, reconciliations, input tax credit and related documentation.
• Handle TDS compliance, calculations, deductions, payments, returns and reconciliation.
• Handle Income Tax-related accounting and compliance and coordinate with the CA wherever required.
• Prepare and manage e-invoices and e-way bills.
• Manage customer invoicing, receipts and outstanding receivables.
• Manage vendor bills, payments and outstanding payables.
• Conduct regular bank, customer, vendor and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports and MIS for management.
• Monitor and account for company expenses, vehicle expenses, fuel, tolls, advances and other operational expenses.
• Maintain proper accounting records for the company's transport and equipment rental operations.
• Verify bills, invoices and supporting documents before accounting/payment.
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of all transactions in Tally Prime.
• Coordinate with the company's CA, auditors, banks, customers and vendors.
• Assist with annual finalisation of accounts, audit requirements and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure timely completion of all statutory accounting and tax-related requirements.
• Identify discrepancies in accounts and take corrective action.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for statutory and financial audits.
• Provide accurate financial information and reports to management whenever required.

Requirements

• 10 years' experience in handling complete company accounts.
• Strong practical knowledge of Tally Prime is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax.
• Experience with GST returns, TDS returns, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, receivables, payables and financial reporting.
• Ability to independently manage the company's accounting function.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in transport, logistics, fleet operations, equipment rental or a similar business will be an advantage.

Important

This is a full-responsibility Accounts Manager position. The candidate should be capable of independently managing the company's day-to-day accounts and coordinating all major GST, TDS and Income Tax matters, rather than being limited to accounting data entry.
