Job summary

Guvisurge in New Delhi, a medical device distribution company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant for full-time bookkeeping, GST compliance, and financial reporting. The role involves managing AR/AP, payroll-related filings, and year-end activities within a small, fast-moving team.

The candidate should be proficient in Tally ERP / Tally Prime with strong MS Excel skills, and have experience in GST, TDS, and general accounting in a trading/distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime for daily bookkeeping.
• Strong MS Excel/Google Sheets skills for reporting.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts (sales, purchases, expenses, bank/cash entries) in Tally or equivalent accounting software.
• Manage GST compliance: invoicing, input tax credit reconciliation, GSTR-1/3B/9 filing, and coordination with the CA/tax consultant.
• Handle TDS deduction, payment, and quarterly return filing.
• Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments with sales team.
• Manage accounts payable invoices, payment schedules, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports: P&L, cash flow, receivables ageing, and expense summaries.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain petty cash records.
• Assist with inventory-linked accounting and stock tracking with sales/ops teams.
• Assist with statutory audits, tax audits, and year-end closing.
• Ensure timely salary processing and statutory compliance (PF/ESI, if applicable).
• Maintain proper documentation and filing for all financial records.

About Guvisurge

Guvisurge is a medical device distribution company building a portfolio of Service and Sales of Capital Goods and consumables for various Multinational companies for distribution across North India. We work with hospitals, distributors, and a field team of Territory Managers, and are looking for a detail-oriented accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations as we scale.

Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time Accountant to manage bookkeeping, GST compliance, receivables/payables, and financial reporting for the business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving company, with exposure to distribution, inventory, and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts (sales, purchases, expenses, bank/cash entries) in Tally or equivalent accounting software
• Manage GST compliance: invoicing, input tax credit reconciliation, GSTR-1/3B/9 filing, and coordination with the CA/tax consultant
• Handle TDS deduction, payment, and quarterly return filing
• Track accounts receivable (AR) and follow up on outstanding customer payments/challans in coordination with the sales team
• Manage accounts payable vendor invoices, payment schedules, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly MIS reports: P&L, cash flow, receivables ageing, and expense summaries
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain petty cash records
• Support inventory-linked accounting (purchase entries, stock valuation, challan/dispatch tracking) in coordination with the sales/ops team
• Assist with statutory audits, tax audits, and year-end closing
• Ensure timely salary processing and statutory compliance (PF/ESI, if applicable)
• Maintain proper documentation and filing for all financial records

Requirements

• B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter or equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance
• 25 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in trading, distribution, or SME environment
• Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime and MS Excel/Google Sheets
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance
• Good understanding of receivables/payables management and reconciliation
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Good to Have

• Experience in the medical device / pharma / healthcare distribution industry
• Exposure to inventory accounting and multi-location stock tracking
• Familiarity with Google Sheetsbased or custom internal tracking systems
